Father’s Day
We had a nice Father’s Day. We went to Bay Beach with Jeb, Laurie, and their kids. It is a big amusement park for younger kids next to a beach (not one that you can really go in). I had never been there so I really enjoyed it. The weather was perfect for all the outdoor activities. The dad’s went on most of the rides with the kids and you could hear their screams and laughter over the kids’. So, it’s safe to say that they had a good time. For Jason and Jeb, Bay Beach is a place of many childhood memories because they used to go there when they were kids. Now, they are taking their own kids. It seemed fitting for Father’s Day.
I was impressed because it is hard to find a place like that where you can spend the whole day with out spending much money. Parking and admission are free, you can bring your own food and drinks, and the rides are about 25-50 cents each (except the pony rides were $2 but we couldn’t pass that up). Anyways, we spent about $5 on tickets for the rides for the whole day. We brought or own picnic lunch and ate it before we went on the rides. Of course, Jason had to buy popcorn, slushies, ice cream, etc. But, it was HIS day so when he was walking around in his sugar coma by 4pm I didn’t mind driving home. 
For those who know Jason well you know that you can usually gauge how good of a time he’s had by how sleepy he is.

I had a great time with you guys too. I agree, I think our husbands had a ‘blast from the past’… they were like a kid again.

Bay Beach is very fun and my family used to go when we were younger, too. Sometimes we went with Jeb, Jason and the rest of their clan. It really is an inexpensive day and lots of fun. My brother-in-law and I will be taking the kids next week and we are looking forward to the fun time.

I figured you went there this year For Father’s Day. That’s the same thing you did last year too. Isn’t it?
I love Bay Beach. Since I was so shy when I was younger and didn’t smile very often, my parents used to bribe me with going there if I smiled. Now I smile all the time, and never go… 
I love Bay Beach, but the full experiance is never complete until you have cotton candy too. It doesn’t taste any different than any other cotton candy, but it still can’t be left out of the whole experiance
